Graphite Drawings
Here you'll find my graphite drawings, in which every stroke of the pencil breathes life into paper. Specializing in realism, each drawing showcases an abundance of intricacies created by a careful hand on paper, inviting viewers to witness the magic of thoughtful, detail-oriented work. Each work is an endeavor to captivate and draw you into the subtle nuances of each piece.

01
Khaleesi
This is a roughly 8.5"x11" portrait of a friend's dog, Khaleesi. As she is is quite light in colour with both colours of her body falling within a similar range of tones, I focused on widening the tonal range through deeping the shading of her skin texture and features.

Kiss It Better
This set of pages belongs to my sketchbook, which is 8.5"x11". I wanted to create a spread with a cohesive theme that was feminine, cute, and Valentine's Day themed.
I paired my graphite sketch with a page full of kiss prints, created using a variety of different colours and types of lipstick. The idea came from my desire to preserve some of my favourite lipsticks. I thought it would be interesting to try stamping my lips onto the pages of my sketchbook to swatch the products. Rather than just one page of 'kisses' alone, I decided to turn the swatches into part of a sketchbook spread, so I came up with the idea of adding the quote and sketch to form a composition that would feel more 'complete' to me.
You will notice a slightly visible line down the centre of the drawing. This is due to a ridge in the paper formed by folding the page while doing art on its other side. I believe that the beauty of sketchbooks is that they can and should be worry-free places for creative exploration and expression. That being the case, I do not think this minor 'flaw' takes away from this creation - it's just part of the story my sketchbook tells. This work was made for personal enjoyment and experimentation.

Wheein in 'Candy'
This is a portrait of the singer Wheein, based on a photograph from a photoshoot done when she covered the song "Candy" by Baekhyun. I created this drawing with the intention of making it part of a sketchbook page, so it is cut out along its edges.
04
Clydesdale
As the faintly-visible text on the backside of this page suggests, this drawing was a sketch done on scrap paper during my free time. Sometimes great works begin as doodles on paper that's about to be thrown away. I don't think that this reduces the value of the work. Creating this piece was an opportunity to explore textures and using a wide range of dark and light tones to create depth and drama.
