Advertising Projects

Welcome to the "Advertising Projects" page, where creativity meets persuasion through the combination of visuals and messages. These projects transcend mere design; they are strategic narratives crafted to captivate and compel. From school assignments to commissioned works, each piece is a canvas of influence, where every image and word is meticulously chosen to resonate with its intended audience.

Copperfox Model Horses*

*Not associated with the real brand, Copperfox Horses (this is an assignment done for a university course)

This assignment consisted of creating two pairs of media components, each for a different advertising campaign (both for the same company). The company I based my assignment off of is Copperfox Model Horses. Since the target audience is largely young adults, I chose media that was appropriate for this age group: I composed an email newsletter and Instagram post for one, and an email newsletter and Instagram reel filter for the other.

Collectors of these model horses seek pieces that are works of fine craftsmanship, represent the beautiful animals they love, and are enjoyable to look at and collect. My first campaign draws on collectors' appreciation of high-quality artistry and attention to detail in the models, while the second draws on their dreams of beautiful, fantastical horses. My idea involves an AR filter, as that technology is currently gaining a lot of attention and popularity, so it would likely catch the eye of the target audience.

As this was a university project, each component was constructed through a number of steps, beginning with mere ideas and paper sketches, which progressed into a series of drafts. These final mock-ups are the result of many iterations of each design, each improved through working upon feedback I sought from my professor and teaching assistant.

Kingline Nutrition

Kingline Nutrition was originally titled "The Lion's Choice," but the company had to change its name when it was sued by a larger company who decided to take on the same name. Already having spent a significant amount of money on product photography, the business owners did not want to have to retake all their product photos with the new packaging, which simply featured a changed title. Through discussing the issue with them, we decided that the best plan would be to edit the photos to have the updated brand name. It was my job to edit over 100 photos and remedy the issue. I had to make the images believable; my goal was to make them so realistic that nobody would know they were edited. I achieved this by paying careful attention to lighting, the curvature of the packaging, and the colours reflected by the product.
